Team Effort Organization

This week I had the rugs in two rooms picked up to get cleaned. One of those rooms was the rabbit room that Russ uses as his home office. It was a nightmare. There is plenty of furniture in that room so getting the rug and pad out was not easy. Then there were the piles of paper and stuff that Russ had been accumulating.

To be fair, he works at least 80 hours a week. He is always working. So I did as much of the clean up as I could do, but there were still piles that needed him to make decisions about. I gave him an incentive plan to get three smallish piles done today.

He did it! He even did slightly more. There are still a whole bookcase of papers and a whole closet. One step at a time. The point was, a small task was obtainable. It felt good and I will now reward him for making the goal.

He gave me a task. He looked in his medicine cabinet and saw things that expired in 2010. How many? I have no idea. But I will tackle all the medicine cabinets. Maybe even tomorrow. Small obtainable goal. No outside reward needed. Just getting it done will be reward enough.

He also fixed an issue with my washing machine that took two minutes. I thanks YouTube.
