Flip Day

Russ had a work colleague come and spend two nights with us in Owl’s head. That meant Russ had to talk a lot. This has exhausted that introvert. On the other hand he had a hiking partner to discuss work with while hiking. Seemed like a win/win to me.

While they were out hiking I was washing all the sheets and trowels because my friends Nancy and Karen arrive tomorrow. I was also prepping for the Ethel Walker Reunion lunch I am having tomorrow when Nancy and Karen’s arrive. Along with them Dinah, Julie, Warren and maybe Sarah Pope are coming for lunch.

I am having an easy menu to help satisfy differing dietary needs- make your own Poke- like bowls, just not with raw fish, but instead, shrimp, chicken and tofu. Everyone should be able to find something to eat. I am also getting a blueberry lemonade cake from Atlantic Bakery because then it will be the school colors of our beloved Walkers.

When I wasn’t doing laundry or changing sheets I was working on my Maine arts and crafts project for this year. It is a paint by number lobster. It is incredibly complex and I am only on color 8 of 24 colors. I hope it turns out OK. For now it is just a fun project.
