Half Way Done

Tomorrow I go to the Tides Inn for my fall Mah Jongg camp. So I only had today to work on my Christmas decoration I am making. Yesterday I painted the balls. Today I started on making the holly leaves. This involved cutting out all the leaves. That was a huge job. My cutting hand really took a beating, but I think I cut enough out. Since I am making this up as I go along I have no idea exactly how many leaves I need.

After all the cutting I started painting the decorative gold accents on the leaves. Again, making it up as I go along. I got about two thirds of the leaves painted and I ran out of time.

Russ is a really good sport as I left the whole project on the breakfast room table. I did leave him one place to sit amongst the mess.

The ribbon I ordered arrived today. I love ribbon. I always have. I am so happy that ribbon is big these days. There are so many beautiful ribbons. Unfortunately they are also very expensive, but I can’t wait to use them.

Hopefully I will finish this project next weekend. I’ve got other projects to get to. I have way too many ideas and not enough time.
