All Saints Day

Today was the day that our church reads out the names of people who we lost this year. The list is not just of church members, but of loved ones of church members or friends we had been praying for.

When my college friend Mike Mansuy got sick this year he asked for prayers. I added him to the prayers list of our church. Sadly our prayers did not save him, but we hope they were heard nonetheless. Mike lost his battle and so he was included in our All Saints remembrance.

I have never met Mike’s wife and daughter as they live in California, but I wanted them to know that Mike’s old friends had not forgotten him and still pray for them all. Mike was a saint amount us. May his memory be a blessing to all that knew him.
