Dumpster Advice

I cleaned out Russ’ office today. I did what I was able to do without him to sort through the piles of papers. I was able to vacuum the baseboards and dust absolutely everything. Since his office was once Carter’s room it still has my old antique rope bed in it. I washed all the bedding and mattress pad and bought a new lampshade for one of the many lamps.

It got me started on the cleaning out bug. I think this is the fall I am going to clean out the attic. It was cool today so I could imagine going to the attic, although I did not do it. Cleaning one room was enough for today.

But as I was looking at my calendar I did find a window of time I could work on the attic, especially if I hired some men to come take the stuff out of the attic and bring it to the garage for me to sort.

So I got to thinking that a dumpster is the way to go. I looked online and found a company that brings a dumpster for a week to your house and takes it away. The price seemed reasonable. So what I want to know is have you ever done this? I will try and donate as much good stuff as I can, but that is its own giant job. At this point I just want to rid my house of things we don’t use. Give me all your best advice.
