Warren Comes For Dinner

It was a glorious Maine day. The sunniest and yet still cool and crisp day we have had. I judge the day on how sparkly the water is and today was like a sea of diamonds.

I started a cool paint by numbers I am working on. I could just paint, but this is a totally different exercise. As I get more done I will show you. I also had one class this afternoon.

Warren came for dinner. I cooked some of the parts of the dinner before my class. I had just enough time after class to finish up prep before he arrived with a big yellow mum in tow. I am just going to have to try and keep it alive until I leave and give it back to him to plant at his house. It will never make the trip home. But it brightens up the deck while I am here.

Shay was especially glad to see Warren. She greeted him enthusiastically and after dinner gave his legs a cleansing bath. He was a good sport and endured her.

I made chicken nachos for dinner which was the perfect way to use everything we had on hand. I followed it up with a blueberry/peach/fig cobbler. Warren was not interested in the figs, but they mixed perfectly with the other fruits and was delicious. Shay just wanted the whipped cream. Homemade pup cups for all the kids.
