Such Kind People

I came to the Bahamas without Russ and my friend Ruth E. is not here either. Ruth E. has always looked after my social life here, but I was on my own this time.

I was unsure exactly what I was going to do when I wasn’t teaching, but I should not have worried. Every meal I have had someone to eat with. Today in beginner class I mentioned I was going to Asian night and Jennifer invited me to dine with her and Rebecca. Then in beyond beginner Nancy said she would have dinner with me tomorrow.

Anne S. brought me a sweet gift to class today. Everyone is so kind and thoughtful. I saw Kika Pizza and Nebraska Ricki at dinner which was wonderful.

Classes are great, but getting a chance to talk with people at meals is the best way to get to know them. They had to kick us out of the beach shack tonight as we were the last people there. We probably would still be talking if they didn’t need to close.
