This is Work?

The beauty of coming to paradise is not how beautiful the place it, but how warm the people are. Last night I attended a lovely cocktail party with my students, new and returning. The repeat ones are no longer students, they are friends.

After that party, it was off to a dinner with friends. Thanks to sweet Melanie who organized it. I was so happy that Suzanne B. came to dinner and I got to see my birthday twin was happy and healthy. Nancy, Anne, and Alexandra rounded out the fun table.

I had breakfast this morning with Pat and her sister Bunny and her husband before class. Then lunch with Alexandra, Virginia and Anne before their class. It was wonderful to see them in person and not just on FaceTime.

After class I went to the movies with Anne U. and Melanie. You would never know I held two classes today because every other second I was enjoying a meal or doing something fun with friends. And some people ask me why I still work. When this is your work why wouldn’t you?
