Great Day All Around

Some days I just don’t understand how my body works. I woke up this morning at 3:40 and could not go back to sleep. I played wordle and waffle and read a bunch and nothing. So at 6:00 I just got up and took a shower.

I had a three hour drive to Atlantic beach to teach class. I dropped Shay at Mary’s for a day baby sitting. Thankfully I was listening to a good book. My friend’s Suzanne and Sally supply me with all my reading recommendations. Last week Suzanne told me about a book she could not stop reading so I started listening to it last week. It was not up to her normal recommendation quality. The writing was not close the the level she usually likes. But I persevered thinking something big was going to happen that was going to turn this book around. It didn’t.

So on my drive this morning I texted her that I had finished London Calling and was disappointed in the writing quality. That’s when she corrected me. The book she had recommended was London Falling! That was not what I was listening to today, but it will be next up.

My drive was uneventful and I arrived at the beach early so I made a quick stop at the Posh Pelican because, in spite of hating shopping, I like that store. I did get two cute things in quick time and I was off to the Dunes club.

Jordyn, the manager is always the best and we set up the screen and the projector and he had all the comfy chairs set up. Annette arrived early and brought lunch for the two of us from Beaufort Grocery, since Dunes is not open for lunch yet. We had a fun catch up before the class started arriving.

It was a lot of my favorite people who I was so happy to see. Some friends were late because there was a bridge accident in Beaufort. Thank goodness they were not in the accident. My favorite thing is taking a photo of the class taking photo’s of the decision tree.

After class Kippie helped me pack up the car and I was off to home. I stopped at Garner Farms and got Strawberries. I picked Shay up 12 hours after I had dropped her off. We got home right after Russ did.

What I don’t understand is how I am not even tired after that day. I was certain I would be exhausted from waking up at 3:20, but here I am at 9:11 perfectly fine. I think I am even going to watch an episode of Call the Midwife before I even try and go to sleep.

It was a great day!
