What a Day

Today could have been sponsored by the weather channel as it was possibly the most perfect day. Everyone at our house woke up very early since the sunrise is strong here. We wasted no time to get to playing Monopoly Deal. I asked Nancy and Karen if they thought that we would ever allow a non-game playing friend to vacation with us. We decided if that person would wait on us then they might get to join us, but otherwise, no.

Since it was a clear blue day we decided to walk the breakwater early. Russ and Shay went with us. Walking with friends telling stories makes the walk go by so quickly. At the light house we stopped to rest and take some photos. We decided we needed to reclaim the American Flag. Russ asked Karen to take a photo of me in front of the flag and Nancy said it could be my campaign photo. I reminded them that I had too many skeletons to ever run for office. They agreed.

Back at home we enjoyed a Greek salad out on the deck and an afternoon of games in the sunshine. We did actually shower and get cleaned up as we had a big reservation at Aster and Rose for dinner.

This was the first time we had taken Nancy and Karen there. Our favorite server Mary was there, but we found out our second favorite Sam had returned to live in California.

Dinner matched the weather on the spectacular scale. Then Nancy did the unthinkable and grabbed the check before Russ even knew it. She and Karen were in cahoots about this.

It was a great day with great friends. Love having them here and am not thinking about tomorrow when they leave. Boo hoo.
