The Rise of Traveling Laundry Baskets

Years ago when I first started taking road trips north I started packing in Laundry Baskets. I found it so much easier when making stops at various places along the way got just have one toiletry bag and then I would pull out the clothes I needed for that day or two at each stop. So much easier than carrying in a whole suitcase for one night.

Russ embraced the laundry basket travel mode. It makes carrying clothes so much easier and they fit perfectly in the way back of the car.

I mentioned this mode of “stuff management” this week when I was visiting my friend Annette and she said she too packed in laundry baskets. As did Charlotte who was over for dinner.

So it appears that the chic way to pack for car travel is in laundry baskets. I am sure than any hour now Louis Vuitton will come out will its own signature laundry basket at only $4,400. It should be cheaper than a suitcase as no wheels, zippers or compartments are needed, but it will be just as much as a suit case since it will be the new hip thing. You really need at least a set of two and they do nest nicely.
