Congratulations to Carter

In Carter’s job there is a certification she could get. Her boss generously gave Carter the time and funding to take a class and test for the certification. The test was today. She had to go to a testing center to take the test. She picked the earliest time to take the three and half hour test knowing she would be best first thing in the morning.

The best part about standardized testing at these centers is she found out the results immediately. She finished in an hour and forty-five minutes with a ten minute break. In the class the instructor gave her the advice not to go back over her answers so she didn’t and submitted her answers. She said the response was fast, and underwhelming. You Passed.

So to make up for that lack of celebration I write this blog to say Yay for Carter. She is now SHRM certified.

On the home front Russ had a great experience with the installer of our new dishwasher. My plumber suggested getting a Maytag/whirlpool/kitchen aid, so I got the Kitchen Aid at Lowe’s. It came exactly when predicted and the installer was excellent. That chapter is closed.

On my front I want to thank my friend Nikki who organized the new Card class in Greenville today. It was great to see Lee and Martha and have lunch with Barbara and Nikki and the girls.

I’m off to the beach tomorrow. Seems that summer comes earlier and earlier.
