Soup’s On
Posted: October 6, 2023 Filed under: Uncategorized 1 CommentI hear fall is actually going to show up tomorrow when the temperatures are going to drop. Since we have been living with perpetual summer I am looking forward to some cooler weather.
In anticipation I made navy bean soup tonight. Russ was all prepared to eat the leftover Thai green curry chicken I made night before last, but when he saw the soup he went with that.

There is nothing more I like than making soup to have on hand for lunch or dinner. I know I eat a healthier dinner if it is just a bowl of soup. I do use a smoked ham hock in my navy bean soup, so the amount of meat we each end up eating is less than two tablespoons.
Now that I can’t eat gluten there will be no crusty bread or grilled cheese to accompany soup. That is where I miss gluten. The gluten free breads I have tried are not worth eating with soup since I still remember what real bread tastes like. I will just have to be satisfied with the soup alone. C’est là vie.
