Mice Type

Russ was making himself pasta for dinner. I was having a non-pasta dinner so I was not involved in the cooking. He showed me the Barilla Box. He said, “look at this.” On the top of the box was a tiny QR code. Then below it, in mice type were these words, “Scan here for visual assistance from Barilla + be my eyes.”

How ridiculous… If you have vision problems I am not sure you would see or be able to red this tiny type instructing you to use the QRcode. Maybe these QR Codes and Be My Eyes are common and people with vision problems know to look for them. My mother has low vision due to macular degeneration and I am certain she would miss this “aid.”

I wear reading glasses and can’t read much without them. I am always fighting with shampoo bottles in hotel bathrooms. The type is never large enough to read without glasses, something I don’t wear in the shower.

I will continue to draw attention to ridiculous sized type where I see them, but especially if it is for a visual aid. Do better Barilla.
