A Well Trained Husband

Russ knows this is a big week for me. I am in he analyzing phase of writing my new mah Jongg card curriculum. There are plenty of people who publish information about the new card, but I don’t like reading other people’s stuff. In the past I have not always agreed with it, or I felt like it was so basic.

To prep for writing the 80 plus page power point I play 1,000 hands. This year I have a couple sharks playing some hands for me. Data is data and I am happy to let experts play some for me. I need a thousand games to get a good data set. It tells me everything I need to know.

Russ knows that I all this playing is not “play,” but is work. He made me my egg this morning so I could power through. Then he asked if I would like to go out for a quick dinner so that I could keep my nose to the grind stone.

It was a fun little break from gaming. We went to Cucciolo. Things were hopping downtown. We got in, saw some friends who were also out to dinner there, ate and got home. Back to work. Russ has done three or four loads of laundry and went to the Harris Teeter.

Nothing is better than having a supportive husband who understands April is my Super Bowl month. Nineteen new card classes are scheduled and I have turned away two requests due to lack of days to do them. Because of that three places have already scheduled next year’s new card classes. It seems crazy that I am booking classes more than a year out, but the competition clubs and resorts feel to get their chosen dates is real.

There are still a few seats available in most of my classes. This year’s new card class promises to be interesting. Www.learnmahjongg.com
