The Save Your Marriage Task Rabbit

When I wrote in this blog a few weeks ago about needing help getting the Christmas’s boxes out my friend Kelly said, “hire task rabbit.” So while I was in the Bahamas I found Brandon and Torryn on the app. They arrived this morning at 8:30 and in forty minutes had gotten the tree up two flights of stairs, and all the boxes from the attic, putting them in the correct rooms.

Russ and I directed, but did virtually no lifting. Before 9:30, they were gone and Russ’ portion of putting up Christmas was done, except for putting empty boxes back in the attic. This was the best thing I have ever done. I will be calling them back when it’s time to put the stuff away, thus saving my marriage from a post holiday meltdown.

I worked slowly today. Getting the needlepoint up and most of the living room decorated. I put the sunroom tree up and unpacked a few of the dining room decorations and the snowmen in the entry. The tree is up and the lights are working, but I didn’t put any ornaments on the tree yet. Starting two weeks early means I have no sense of urgency to get it all done in two days.

Russ did return about a dozen boxes to the attic as I emptied them. I would like to get it all done fairly quickly so that I don’t have boxes all over the house. Looking at my calendar just now I see I probably should have gotten more done today. Now I am just too tired. I guess tomorrow will be a big push.
