My Kind Of Paradise
Posted: November 8, 2025 Filed under: Uncategorized 1 CommentIt’s Saturday so I had the day off. So what does one do when you are all alone in Paradise? I started the day with a beautiful walk on the beach. Followed by a yummy avocado toast at the pool terrace. The staff here are so kind. They remember my name and my iced tea order, with extra lemon!
I returned to my room where I sat on the sofa on my porch and worked on a big writing project I have been procrastinating on for months. I felt good about the headway I made, although I need about 150 more days like today to complete this work.
At 2:00 I had a big mah Jongg game in the library with so many friends. I promised not to be too hard on them. It was great fun to play long into the afternoon.

I returned to my room and took a long luxurious shower and got ready to go to Dixie and Jupe’s house for dinner. Ruth E. Picked me up in the not tricked out golf cart and off we tootled. Dixie welcomed us warmly and we relaxed on the porch overlooking the water and enjoyed cocktails before dinner.
What a dinner it was, fresh figs and prosciutto, followed by chicken Provençal, mashed potatoes and a green salad with artichokes. She topped the whole thing off with a pineapple sprinkled with a touch of brown sugar with a kiwi and strawberry medallion.
We talked late into the night and Ruth E. signaled it was time to go. I do adore Dixie and Jupe and always Ruth E.
When I returned to the club the party in the living room was going full bore with a band belting it out. I could have sat and listened to the music, but decided to retire instead. I scrolled through a bunch of Christmas decoration inspirations. I might be doing that tomorrow even thought I need to write. What a perfect day in paradise.
sounds like a great day in paradise
