The Hospitality of Houston

If it’s October I must be in Houston, thanks to Nancy Abendshein for inviting back again this year. She and her friend Kari Dagley have done a yeoman’s amount of work to organize these classes here. To top it all off Nancy is also hosting me at her house. I hope she will not regret this.

Tonight we started with a little Champagne reception at Kari’s store. It was lovely to get to meet some of the lovely women and gentleman who will be coming to class tomorrow.

After the cocktails we went to a fun place for dinner called Rosie Cannonballs in Montrose. The temperature was perfect to sit outside. As Nancy, Kari and Cindy were telling stories about people and places here it seemed as if they all had a relation to Timmons lane. From now I am calling Kari, Kari Timmons.

We stayed out too late laughing and now I need to try and sleep so I can teach all day tomorrow. I am certain I will not get enough rest due to the the extra amount of hospitality from everyone I meet in Houston.
