Change of Plans
Posted: October 12, 2025 Filed under: Uncategorized Leave a commentWe were supposed to stay in Boston until the 8:00 PM flight tonight. The nor’Easter made us change our plans. Normally I would take my chances, but I have to fly to Houston Tuesday for three days of classes with people who have been planning these two classes for months.
I didn’t bring my Mah Jongg teaching equipment to Boston so I couldn’t go straight from Boston to Houston. My fall is too jammed packed for things to go wrong so we cut short our visit.
I am glad we did because we got home without issue. I have looked at the 5;30 flight and it was delay two hours and right now our original flight is delayed over an hour and sometimes that means it just ends up not going at all when it’s late at night. Who knows how long the crew has left on the clock by the end of the day.
Travel is just not easy, but is sure is busy right now. Every seat on every flight is full. We were lucky we were able to change. The good thing is Shay is happy to have us home and I got two loads of laundry done. One less job to do tomorrow when packing for Houston. Of course totally different clothes for Houston than I took to Boston. Thankfully no coats.
When I get home to Houston Friday I don’t have to repack as my next class is Saturday and Sunday in Rocky Mount. That is just driving. I did hear that there are four seats available for the beginner class at Benvenue Country club and non-members can sign up now if you want. I rarely do weekend classes so if you know someone who wants to learn here is the information.
Registration for next weekend’s
Mah-Jongg Lessons
