Protect the Precious

This fall I have a half dozen classes that involve travel. These days I have quite a few props I bring to my classes. The large format Mah Jongg tiles I painted are my most valuable tool. I have large format mah Jongg cards printed on giant magnets that I can put up on a white board. They are so big they have to travel in a tube. There are my magnets for the tile cards and my retractable pointer. I need my I-pad and in some cases also my computer, along with all the needed cables.

All these things are very precious to me and so they must go as carry on. I also bring my carry-on suitcase as I very rarely check a bag.

I needed to find a back pack that could act as my personal item on planes. All summer I searched the internet and read reviews. Finally I settled on the bag from Wandrd that is used by travel vloggers who carry lots of camera equipment.

So this week will be my first flight with my new system. I pray that it all goes smoothly. I am most looking forward to having all my heavy stuff in a pack that I carry on my back or roll on my suitcase. There is no way out of bringing this heavy stuff. It must be protected.
