Saturday Drudgery
Posted: October 4, 2025 Filed under: Uncategorized Leave a commentSome Saturdays are made for errands. Russ and I went to early voting at the new Board of a elections. It was fast and easy and very big since it is in the old grocery store building on MLK by the DMV. Not big races, but all elections are important these days. Since it was just the primary, we will be back to vote next month in the final election.
From there we went to our grocery store to get our vaccines. I had already gotten flu, but needed Covid and pneumonia. Russ got all three. We had to wait a little bit as there were 4 people in front of us. It was not a problem. I have a lot of travel coming up and would like to be vaccinated before all those flights.
Getting those vaccines all at the same time wiped us out a little. I took a nap as soon as I got home. I didn’t mean to, just passed out with Shay snuggled up beside me. Then I woke up and Shay went to snuggle with Russ and he passed out. You would think it was Shay who had the vaccinations.
I saw a great sign today. Vaccinations make adults. Trust science.
When we got home from our errands we had a box from goldbelly on the front porch. Russ’ team sent him crab cakes for his birthday. Yay, dinner was taken care of. It also came with a cute crab t-shirt. Thanks CMG people.
