It’s No Wonder We are Friends

Today was about the most perfect day. Suzanne and I played Siamese Mah Jongg most of the day. When we weren’t we were taking the dogs out or cooking dinner. Suzanne has become a very good player since she first learned in earnest in January at High Hampton. I am so proud of her strategy and her ability to see different options.

Half way through the day the game mat I ordered for her arrived so we had a softer surface to play on. Suzanne also made everything very comfy for Shay and brought Esme’s bed out to the living room so she could snuggle while we played.

After dinner we had to switch to Catan so that Oliver could play with us. It was Oliver and his brother Jack who introduced me to Catan, my other favorite game. I do play it everyday on my iPad, which gave me an unfair advantage tonight.

We had a great game and will continue tomorrow and probably Friday too. There is nothing better than having great friends who are also great game lovers. I imagine this is what it will be like when I go to a retirement community. It would be best if Suzanne and I went together since Russ does not love games.

All the Farley Kids and Carter and Claire can come visit us and we can play big tournaments. It sounds like heaven on earth. A lot like it is staying here with Suzanne.
