Good Barter
Posted: July 25, 2025 Filed under: Uncategorized Leave a commentEight classes this week. Six at the beach, one in Raleigh, last one tonight in Durham. I am wiped. But the Durham’s class had a bunch of people I really like in it and some I just met. I’m sure I will like them too.
One of the young members of the class really wanted to learn mah Jongg. She is a baker and so she asked me if I would be willing to receive baked goods as a barter for the class. How could I turn down a young person offering baked goods?

I left it up to her what she might bring me. Well, it was a very nice large tray, (which she also gave me) of focaccia, bread, cookies and mixed berry crostatas. Russ is very excited for breakfast. The cookies have already gone in the freezer. If you come to visit me you might get one. She also brought cookies to the class.
I get one day of rest tomorrow, thank goodness and then Sunday I start up with eight classes next week. More than I like in a week, especially two weeks in a row, but since I am leaving for Maine and will be off for over five weeks I let people talk me into extra classes.
