Cooking Mah Jongg Wicked
Posted: November 27, 2024 Filed under: Uncategorized Leave a commentIn exactly that order. I didn’t really have to cook. I made cranberry yesterday, but Carter has most of Thanksgiving under control. She made the hominy corn pudding, prepped the vegetable for the stuffing and spatchcocked the turkey and dry brined it. She was a boss cutting out the back bone and breaking the breast bone. I was happy to watch and instruct when needed. She also made turkey stock from the back bone, neck and wing tips so we are ready to make gravy tomorrow.

She did all this after working today. I cleaned while she worked, but after the cooking we played Siamese Mah Jongg. It is always good to have such a great opponent.

We went to the 6:30 showing of Wicked part 1. Carter had bought the tickets last week and there was not a seat in the place. Thank goodness for assigned seating at silver spot. We loved the movie. The singing was fabulous, but the costumes were my favorite part. They have to win the Oscar for them. Two of the best songs, “popular” and “defying gravity” were in this part, but “changed for the better” must be in part 2 which will not come out until next Thanksgiving. I guess we know what we will be doing.

It was the perfect day before Thanksgiving. Nothing Christmas was done all day! Happy Turkey day to all of you.
