The Last Of It

We may get frost tomorrow. It has been 276 days since our last frost. That was in February. That is a long ass time between frosts. Who needs winter clothes anymore?

The only thing left in my garden are pepper plants. They miraculously survived without rain for months and no tending from me. Once we leave for Maine I am done with my garden. This year I left on August 6 and here we are more than 3 months later and we still have peppers.

Russ went outside in the dark with a flashlight to do the final harvest, since he eats peppers every morning in his breakfast scramble he wanted these last ones. It will be at least six months before I can grow him new ones.

Stay warm tomorrow. It may be. Little colder than you are used to.
