Reunion Day

Shay and I woke up early in Ptown and said goodbye to Janet and Sophie. We so enjoyed staying in their little guest cottage and spending good time with them.

We had a big day of seeing many friends today as we trekked north. The first stop was in Orleans to see friends from my childhood in Wilton, Nancy and Alice Clough and Gossip Alice’s Golden. It has been so many years since I had seen them in person as we mostly kept in touch through Facebook. It was much too short, but oh so fun. Alice looks exactly the same as when we were hanging out at the riding club.

Shay and I were back on the road to Chestnut Hill to pick Russ up. This was the reunion Shay was waiting for. Being away from her daddy is never good. We continued up to New Hampshire to Suzanne’s to reunite with the wedding family. The whole Farley family was there and we had a good start to our rehash of all the things we loved about the wedding. We will continue that conversation tomorrow.

We were late getting to Karen and Nick’s where we are spending the night tonight. They generously had me back after last week and now I brought Russ and Shay. Shay took a great liking to Nick and sat snuggled with him.

Karen made some yummy haddock and we had a nice dinner before Shay herded us into bed. She was exhausted from the travel and so many people to visit today. I’m with her.
