Death of Another Appliance

Last month it was the dishwasher. Yesterday it was the microwave. Getting a new dishwasher is a much bigger pain in the neck, than a microwave.

On our anniversary I wrote Russ a cards telling him he was getting a new dishwasher for his gift. When he was heating up my dinner last night he announced that the microwave made a thunk sound and would not turn back on. 20 years with that model seemed like a reasonable lifetime.

While I was teaching Russ researched which microwave would fit perfectly in our space. He texted me the answer and on my way home I stopped at Lowe’s and picked it up. I told Russ this appliance was his Father’s Day present.

Since his birthday is not until October I hope this means no more appliances will bite the dust until at least then. Russ is tired of getting appliances as “gifts.” I am getting tired of going to Lowes. It is much easier if Russ does the research and I am just picking them up.
