C & C’s Last Visit Day

The power’s on, but the girls are gone. Russ left this morning while the power was still out. It came back on around 6AM. Duke power under promised and over delivered since they said the power would be off until 8 in the morning. Carter, Claire and I were happy to have power, but were sad it was their final day.

Such a treat to have them visit for four whole days. Visits are short and far between when you have an adult child. I so appreciate that they took off two days from work and spent it with us. We played lots of Mah Jongg and talked long hours in the sunroom.

C&C went to visit my Mom as she is moving apartments. It was good for Carter to spend some time with her Grandmother. I get to go tomorrow for the final move of all her furniture. Thank goodness for movers. It can’t take too long to move a two bed room apartment to a new one one floor below and down the hall.

Shay has had a ball with all these adoring people around. Carter asked if Shay could ride in the car with her for the last fleeting moments together. Now both Shay and I are home alone in an empty house. I am not sure who is missing our girl more.
