Best Day Ever

Having Carter and Claire visit is nothing but fun! We spent the morning gardening and playing Mah Jongg, which is such a treat for me to have not only the help in the garden (Russ also helps and he is still spreading mulch), but to get to play Mah Jongg with real life people I love is the best.

All those things were great, but they were just time fillers until we could go to see Megan Ketch’s final Playmakers performance of “The Game.” Russ and I had seen opening night, which was amazing, but today’s show was surprisingly even better. I am not sure how that was possible.
We laughed hysterically and Megan could tell we were there. Carter also sobbed, almost uncontrollably, not just about the truths in the play, but also in watching her beloved Megan doing what she was born to do and with such success.
Oh the reunion of Carter and Megan is so tender and Megan was so excited to meet Claire. Megan’s parents Susan and Jim were there to make it a big celebration and Max, Megan’s husband brought their sweet son Leon so it was one big love fest.

The celebration continued with a dinner at Vin Rouge, which never disappoints. What a fun day for us all. I am so lucky to have them home for two more days. Oh Happy Day.
