Jammed Packed Day of Christmas Fun
Posted: December 21, 2023 Filed under: Uncategorized Leave a commentI could hardly sleep waiting for Carter to come home this morning. Turns out she had the same problem sleeping, but it was probably because of her fear of missing her very early flight.

I picked her up from the airport and we went for brunch at Snooze in Chapel Hill. If you haven’t been it’s lots of fun. A chain, but well done.

From there it was off to Chapel Hill Needlepoint to see Nancy. We lucked out that we were the only ones in the store for a while so we had quality time with Nancy. Carter finished her big pillow project and we had to get a few Christmas goodies. Carter should have stitching for a while now.

From there it was off to see our financial advisor for some education. We had the bonus of seeing Dave Pottenger while we were there. Carter is a good financial student.

Finally we stopped at home for an hour and picked up Russ and set off for the Koko Booth Amphitheater to see the Chinese Lantern Festival. We were guests of our finance group which was a fun Christmas thing to do. We had twilight tickets which opened at 4:30, but we didn’t get there until just after 5. The place opens to the regular crowd at 6, so we lucked into a lull in the attendance. It was a very fun outing. The lanterns were beautiful. We finished walking through the whole exhibit just before they were letting in the giant gaggle of 6pmers in.

Back to Chapel hill we went for dinner at Jujube and home to needlepoint and watch SNL skits. It’s great to have Carter home, even if I am exhausted.
