Made With Love
Posted: December 11, 2023 Filed under: Uncategorized Leave a commentThe exuberance of the season continues. Tonight was my second smaller needlepoint group’s ornament exchange. It was our fourth year of exchanging ornaments and it is a very special night.
It all started when one friend wanted to learn to needlepoint and invited a few experienced stitching friends to come stitch with her every month. We became a very supportive group. When this friend learned of my other stitching group ornament exchange she decided we should do the same.
I am not saying we are a competitive group, but discerning might be a better description. So we not only make a special ornament for another person, but we also exchange lovely gifts. I look all year for just the right gifts to give this group and love everything I am given and I usually could care less about gifts, (except for homemade ornaments.)
This year I received a very special ornament from my friend Michelle. It is the cutest rendition of Shay. The most amazing thing is Shay is wearing a green coat and Russ and I bought her a green coat this summer in Maine and Michelle says she stitched it last winter. Just seems like these friends know each other so well we can predict what we will like.

So here are the wonderful ornaments, made with love for our little group. Each one is a treasure that only another stitcher can truly appreciate.

We picked our names for next year so now the planning has to begin. How can I top myself?
